Oil of Oregano

A traditional herbal preparation made by slowly infusing the leaves and flowering tops of Origanum vulgare into rich olive oil, this Oil of Oregano captures the warming, aromatic spirit of the plant in a gentler form than oregano essential oil. Herbalists have long valued oregano for its affinity with the respiratory and digestive systems, as well as its comforting support during seasonal challenges.

Unlike oregano essential oil, this infused oil contains the whole herb’s broader spectrum of constituents in a milder, nourishing preparation suitable for daily herbal practice. Earthy, warming, and deeply aromatic, it may be taken internally or used externally as part of a traditional wellness ritual.

Crafted with olive oil for both preservation and nourishment, this preparation reflects the old-world kitchen apothecary tradition where food and medicine meet around the hearth.

Internal Use

• Adults: Take 1 dropperful  up to 3 times daily as needed.
• May be taken directly by mouth or added to a small amount of warm water, tea, or broth.
• Best taken with food for sensitive stomachs.
• For  gum issues apply 1-2 drops at the site of concern, swish and spit out 

Contraindications, Cautions & Safety

• For adult use only unless directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
• Avoid use during pregnancy in large therapeutic amounts unless under professional supervision. Culinary amounts are generally regarded as safe.
• Individuals with allergies to plants in the Lamiaceae (mint) family should use caution.
• Discontinue use if irritation or sensitivity occurs.
• Use caution with gastric irritation, ulcers, or severe acid reflux, as oregano may feel intensely warming for some individuals.
• Consult a qualified healthcare practitioner prior to use if nursing, taking prescription medications, or managing a medical condition.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Store in a cool, dark place.

Important Distinction

This preparation is an herbal oil infusion, not oregano essential oil. It is significantly gentler and should not be confused with concentrated essential oil preparations. The essential oil should not be ingested unless under the care of a Clinical Aromatherapist or other Medical Professional.
