I have a shipping question

At Wise Roots Apothecary, we ship directly from our Colorado-based store Mondays through Fridays.

We package your order with care, and ship within 3 business days.

From there, carrier shipping times will vary depending on your location.

Wondering where your order is? You'll receive a tracking number once we've put your order in the mail. You can also get updates about tracking in the Shop app. Unfortunately, we don't get any extra information from our carriers about your package's location.

Please understand that we are a small team and during busy times, fulfillment may take longer.

How do you take the tinctures?

  • The dosage is written on the side of the bottle. You will dilute full droppers into 2oz of water and drink - you can do this 1-3x per day.
  • For acute problems, ie cold or flu, stomach ache etc - use "pulse dosage." 2-3 DROPPERS every 15 minutes for an hour. Wait 30 minutes, then every hour until symptoms subside.
4

How do you use the Gem Elixirs?

The gem elixirs are considered a spiritual "medicine.' They can help aid in a mediation to bring balance back to your chakras - your energy centers. You can use them any way you see fit. You can apply them to your chakra points, put them under your tongue or in your drinking water, apply them topically or put them in your bath! Get creative!

5

What is the shelf life of a tincture?

A properly made, alcohol extracted tincture can last decades! But chances are, once you experience the magic of herbal medicine, they won't last that long!

6

Can you create custom teas?

We would love to create a custom tea for you! Email us or give us a call so we can chat about your custom tea and schedule a day for pick up or shipping.

I forgot - how do I make my tea?

  • If you're drinking for flavor, steep 1 TBSP for 8-10 minutes.
  • If you're drinking for medicinal purposes, there are a few ways to go about this.
  • If your tea is more roots/barks than leaves/flowers, you will make a decoction. Boil 1 quart of water, add 4-6 TBSP of herb, simmer for 15-20 minutes, strain and drink. You can let steep overnight for a stronger tea.
  • If your tea is more leaves/flowers than roots/barks, you will make an infusion. Pour boiling water over 4-6 TBSP of herbs, let steep for at least 20 minutes, although overnight is best. Strain and drink.
  • If your tea has both, do a decoction first, then add 2 TBSP of blend, then do an infusion.
  • For ongoing issues, drink 3-4 cups/day
  • For acute situations, ie stomach ache, fever, flu, etc. drink 1/4 cup every half hour until symptoms decrease.
